Hey friends!
We travel to & from our families houses about twice a month. They are both about two hours away and we like to go for the 2-3 days each time we visit. So we travel A LOT. I have become quite a pro at packing my suitcase, but I used to always forget something beauty related, until I learned this trick!
You can do this one of two ways, pack your beauty, hair, and skin care essentials as you use them the day before your travel. OR, what I do, is have a duplicate set ready to go, always. I find this is best for me because we are constantly on the go. ALSO, it helps if I run out of my foundation, I do not have to wait to go get more, I have a backup i my travel set. I will then order another to replace the one I “borrowed” from my extra set.
I find this practice most helpful for my beauty, hair, and skin care products. But I like to keep an extra bathing suit, socks/undies/bra, basic t-shirt, and PJ’s in my suitcase, as well. Just in case 🙂
SO here are all of the beauty items I have ready in a “travel set.”
Plus other items that I cannot link here are in my Every Day Makeup Routine.
My hair travel essentials are much lighter, I usually wash my hair the day/night before we leave and since I can go almost a week without washing, I just bring dry shampoo & extra hair ties, just in case something traumatic happens to my hair. lol
I also always bring a hair towel, to cover my hair when I shower.
My skin care products are most essential. I will usually skip makeup when visiting family, unless we go out to dinner or something. So I like to keep up on my skincare game, and it gives my skin some time to breathe from makeup.
I know it can be hard to keep a good skin care routine when traveling, but it is a MUST for me. Even if I just wash my face, apply a serum, & moisturizer. It’s better than nothing.
My favorite skin care travel tip is to bring the Tula Treatment Pads. They feel like a mini facial, and that is so nice when on vacation!
I like to bring my own wash cloth, these microfiber cloths, they are amazing at removing makeup and cleansing your skin.
I also always pack a razor, loofah, microfiber cloth, toothbrush/toothpaste, hair towel, and headband.
Here is my travel case & luggage:
This is full stocked will all of my travel items, ready to go on a trip! I love that it has a handle, and is plastic (so it can easily be cleaned.) Plus it does not get smashed or beaten up easily.
