Hey friends, just a couple of weeks ago we were traveling to Hilton Head Island South Carolina for a fall trip. We were lucky on this trip and had beautiful weather! It was warm (like the south usually is) for a couple of days, and then the last few days of our trip were nice and cool – making it feel like “real” fall!
We planned and array of activities for the family and found some great restaurants too! Our top recommendations are below. If you have any specific questions feel free to message me on Instagram! I also have a highlight saved on my profile as a “real time” photo album.

HILTON HEAD ISLAND TRAVEL GUIDE:
STAY:

Sea Crest Surf & Racquet Club. We had a two bedroom unit, and bunk beds in the hallway, you could sleep 7/8 people in the unit, but it would be tight. It was the perfect size for our family of four.
Next time we will try to stay inside the Sea Pines community. We went there almost every day, and had to pay an entrance fee each time.
EAT:
Breakfast –

Hilton Head Social Bakery – was phenomenal! It is owned by a French chef and the breakfast we had was amazing. We grabbed some pastries to-go too!
Sweet Al’s – has breakfast sandwiches and pastries and really good coffee! We walked there for breakfast most of our stay.
Lunch & Dinner –

Al’s Aloha Kitchen – an easy lunch for hawaiian bowls, also super close to the Lowcountry Celebration Park, could walk there and do lunch back at the playground!

Salty Dog – is the one and only! It has the best vibes, we came here three times for dinner, drinks and apps. Eric and I loved it for a fun date night on the water, and the family loved it too!

Coast – we went as lunch with the boys and was the perfect casual vibe. The food was delish! Also, if you are there in the summer you can easily access the beach from the restaurant/bar.

Hudson’s on the Docks – great seafood and it is fun to sit on the docks! This was the most reasonably priced place we ate.

Quarterdeck, this might just be my favorite restaurant of all time… and we only had apps! It is BEAUTIFUL inside and out, I loved the architecture. I took lots of future home inspo pics!
Drinks –

Carolina Tasting Room – wine tasting room with wine slushies (and kids ones too). They do local tastings and I really loved the Biltmore Sav Blanc.
ENJOY:

Lowcountry Celebration Park – was the best for the kids! It has a huge pirate ship and playground areas for all ages. They even have a water play area (for warmer months). We went here almost every afternoon! They also have a walking trail over the water and lots of wild life. We even picked up breakfast and walked here two mornings.

Harbour Town – walk around the shops, dock/marina and see the lighthouse. They also have a great playground, just on the other side of the shopping plaza. It was our favorite spot to visit on HHI.

Lawton Stables – is a horse farm and petting zoo. Perfect for little and older kids (they do horse rides there too!)

Beach – duh, its a beach town/island!

Pickney Island National Wildlife Refuge – a great state park with amazing views (from a short trail) of the water! They boys loved seeing the water and mom/dad loved the short walk with toddlers! ha

Outlet Malls – There are two outlets just outside HHI in Bluffton. I liked #2 the best. It has the only Serena and Lily outlet on the east coast! This is a GEM and just opened. It is not listed on Google and I literally stumbled upon it while shopping at one of the two outlets. They told me they are in a temp location for the next 6 months. I will be driving back to HHI on a Wednesday (when they restock the store) to buy S&L at outlet prices. They had chairs for $79! It’s amazing, I could write an entire blog post on it!
Here are some misc pics from our trip!
