hey friends, we are in the thick of “Florida winter” here in Gainesville right now. I am not used to how cold it has been! I have been thinking outside of the box lately when it comes to winter fashion. I am a HUGE dress girl, I am most comfortable in a dress and would wear one every day, if it wasn’t so cold!
Soooo to keep warm and stay cute I have been playing around with dressing my dresses for winter! We are lucky in Florida that it is not super cold every day, and there is not snow on the ground. So here are a few ways I have been taking my summer dresses into winter…
Tights & stockings! I love wearing these under my maxi dresses, they keep my legs extra warm & are hidden by the dress!
Sweaters! I have a few tried & true sweaters from my Fall Capsule Wardrobe, that I love throwing over a spaghetti or thin strapped dress for extra warmth in the winter!
Coats! I also love pairing a long maxi dress with a long winter coat, so chic…
Boots! I have come around to the idea of pairing boots with my maxi dresses… I have found that Chelsea or “booties” work best with a maxi that hit right at the ankle!
Riding boots are also a favorite of mine to pair with my shorter dresses, they elongate the leg & keep them warm!
Over-The-Knee Boots! I love pairing these with short dresses, they are even perfect with tights too!
