Hey friends! Happy new year! This is such a fun post to start out the new year with! I am always in such a home-focused mood once my Christmas decor is put away. I can fully focus on organizing our home for the year.
The end of December our washer & dryer decided to quit so I got to dreaming up a new set, but also a FUNCTIONAL space! With a busy family, I am doing multiple loads of laundry a day, and a beautiful space has been on my wishlist!
We went with THIS washer & dryer – it has amazing reviews from other pet owners and I LOVE the cleanable filter so far!

I started with THESE peel & stick floor tiles. We used a similar product at our rental house, in the entry, and they held up great over the three years we lived there. For this garage laundry area, I knew I needed a product that could withstand this high traffic area. I chose this mixed pack of white and tan wood-look tiles. I also installed them at an angle and I am loving the way they turned out!

Next was the wallpaper, this is really what has been on my wishlist for so long. We used Love VS Design peel & stick grasscloth wallpaper in the nursery in our home and we are still drooling over it. It has held up wonderfully in these last two years.
I polled my Instagram community & you helped me pick a wallpaper – Ditsy Stripes Wallpaper. I adjusted the colors (all of their wallpaper is fully customizable) to carolina, kale, clouds & army.

Lastly, this space is small, dark, and in the garage after-all – so I needed it to be as functional as possible.
I started with using battery operated lightbulbs in these sconces.
Then I installed these gorgeous gold clothing rods, to be able to hang laundry to dry.
Lastly, I rolled in THIS rattan cart, to add some texture, but also laundry product storage, using THESE rattan boxes.

Here are the mockups of this space, when I first started…

Here is the final peak into or updated garage laundry space…

As always, if you love & use any of my tips or products from this post, please tag me on Instagram. I love to see what you create in your homes!
xoxo,
Sarah
