Hey friends, We have only been home a couple of days since leaving the island Hope Town in the Abaco, Bahamas. This was the most beautiful beach I have ever seen in my life… Eric and I never wanted to leave after all of the fun we had. The water is a bright turquoise & the locals are so kind! This was out first trip to the Bahamas, outside of Nassau on a cruise ship, and THIS is the way to visit the Bahamas, hands down! Our family has been visiting for years, so they know the ins & outs of getting there, where to stay, eat & what to do.
In doing my own research I did not come across anything specific to Hope Town, where we wanted to visit. It can be an intimidating process to plan a trip like this, so here are a couple of tips, before I get into my travel guide & outfit recap.
See my trip in real time on my Instagram account, on the Hope Town, Bahamas highlight…
You can watch a recap HERE. See what I packed on THIS post, and see some outfits I wore on the trip HERE, HERE & HERE. I have an album with all of my looks on my LTK page HERE as well.
Keep reading to see where we stayed, what we ate & all of the fun that was had!

How to get there: We flew into MHH (Marsh Harbour, Bahamas). I would not recommend out airline, so I am not naming names. We were delayed going & coming, so next time we are definitely flying another airline! lol
Once you get to Marsh Harbour, we took a taxi to the Albury ferry docks – then they took us directly to the lower dock on Hope Town, and we walked next door to our house!

Where to stay: We stayed in “town” at Harbour Villa, it is on Lovers Lane! We booked directly through Karen Lowe – she did send me THIS link with her rentals to share. You can also see other rentals on the island through THIS SITE.
The house is a two bedroom, two bath – but it can sleep 6 because the couch is a futon.

Where to eat: We had dinner at Cap N Jacks quite a few times – even breakfast one morning! It is so close to the house, and every meal was delicious! They will also cook your catch for you here.

Skoops – in “town” has delicious ice cream & hot dogs for an easy lunch option. I do not think they are open on weekends, so try to add this as a week day stop.

Firefly Sunset Resort – the perfect sunset watching spot! We had amazing dinner

We drove our golf cart down to the Abaco Inn – stunning views there! Also they had the best margaritas on the island!

Hope Town Inn & Marina is just a shuttle ride over – you can call the resort & they will send over their shuttle to pick you up from one of the three docks on Hope Town. We had them cook our fishing charter catch one night. Eric and I also went back during the day and swam in their pool – they have a fun swim up bar too!

Where to play: Fishing charters with Robert Lowe, Tahiti Beach, or there is beach access just three blocks up from the house.
We rented a golf cart from Hope Town Cart Rentals.

Walk up into the Lighthouse – you can call the Hope Town Inn & Marina and ask for their shuttle to come pick you up, then there is a trail from the resort over to the lighthouse. We had a perfect view of it from our hosue. I learned that it is one of the only manual lighthouses in the world. It has to be pumped every two hours!
I shared THIS REEL of all of the outfits I wore on this trip – You can shop them all directly HERE.
As always, if you take this trip or a similar one, please share & tag me on Instagram – I would love to see!
xoxo, Sarah
