Hey friends! If you’re anything like me this year and Thanksgiving has totally snuck up on you, you might need some easy DIY tablescape ideas. I had all of the items used below in my home, but you can easily pick up them up at Hobby Lobby or Target!
This lovely image was this morning.. the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.. This is me waiting until the last minute to get my house together.
We are hosting both sides on our family this Thursday and I could not be more excited! It is nothing super fancy, so an easy tablescape will do!
First let’s start with the table runner. Here I am using WRAPPING PAPER. It’s affordable and you do not have to wash it, if someone spills food on it. Let’s be real, it’s the most food we eat of all the days in the year.. I would much rather throw away this paper one than have to hand wash a real one.
I simply measured the end of the paper to the edge of my table, on both sides. I cut them straight across and folded and taped them, as seen below.
Second, I had this adorable tray from Kirklands. It was from last year I cannot find the exact one, but here is a pretty similar one, if you like the “shiplap” look. This such a great piece to have and dress up for every holiday. I love that the white is neutral enough, but not too plain.
Next we have these candles from Amazon. I do not burn regular candles anymore, post coming on that topic coming soon. So these battery operated ones still look pretty, while I diffuse a wonderful scent somewhere else in the room.
Lastly, I have this wreath in multiple sizes all around my house. It is a great pop of color in the center of the tray. Four of the candles fit perfectly inside it.
If you are hosting something more formal, simply change out the runner for one like this, and add a few real candles, if you prefer.
When it comes down to, Thanksgiving is all about quality time with friends and family.
Now I just have to set the table. 🙂
Thanks for reading!
