Hey friends!
I am so excited to share my latest hair curling tutorial with you! This THE EASIEST technique I have ever used. It is fast & efficient, the way I like to get things done. 🙂
I start by blow drying my hair after the showering, using my blow dry brush. (tutorial on that coming soon.)
Then I wait until my hair is a little more “dirty” on day three of wear. I am sure you can curl your hair like this and get the same results right after washing, but I just prefer to wait.
I start by brushing out my hair and clipping up the sections I am not going to curl. I split up the clips into these sections: bottom (no clip), middle (two sections, right and left), and the top layer. I split the sections this way to save time later in the process.
I barely curl my bottom layer. I leave the curling iron on long enough to create some wave, for volume purposes.
I then curl the middle and top sections. I ALWAYS curl away from my face.
This is the trick: SKIP sections of hair.
For example, I split my middle section into two sections, right and left. I will only curl half of each section. Make sense?
This create more texture in your hair, and less all over curls. I like that this creates more of a natural/beachy wave.
I always make to sure to curl the pieces at my face, never skip these.
I finish my spraying texture spray throughout my hair, lifting sections to get some volume in the middle shaft of the hair.
Lastly, I add the Puff Me powder to give volume at my roots. I rub this in, gently, to create immediate lift.
That’s it! I’m done! This whole “routine” only takes about ten minutes for me, which is less than half the time of my curling my hair the traditional way. 🙂
